Media Industry Shares ‘Moving Sideways’

Leading radio and TV broadcasters saw their stock prices cool in 2004 amid concerns over the challenge from new technologies like the Internet and digital video recorders. "Media companies were more or less moving sideways," Harold Vogel tells Billboard. "I don't think investors were all that impressed. These companies are looking tired, and they're finding organic growth to be difficult."
